Welcome to yet another Friday Free-For-All!

No questions this week, so I'll delve into my daily adventures in Painter IX.

For the rest of the online artist world, Painter seems to be the end all graphics tool for illustrators. I have struggled with each and every single version of this program since Painter 5. Why it just doesn't come naturally, I'm not sure. It might have something to do with my aversion to painting in general. Watercolors, I'm more or less okay with... Oils, I can dabble in, but most other paints I stay away from. Perhaps this is at the root of my problem with Painter. I see folks do the most amazing work with this program and I'm stuck trying to figure out the bajillion tools and do-dads and gizmos that tweak brushes and paint flow and what-ever-else-have-you.

*sigh*

So, once again in my lifetime, do I decide to dedicate some time to learning this God-forsaken program. I've started reading through some online tutorials to learn the tools and their basic settings. I'm somewhat proud to say I've made some minor progress. (Also, having a nice new 24" iMac really does help things out as well! Hee!)

Stick around, you might see some new stuff pop up on nemu*nemu throughout the month of October!

Have a great weekend everyone! I know I will!
