iRead Webcomics!

Posted by Audra Furuichi on June 6, 2008 12:00 AM

Celebrating the 2008 Teen Summer Reading Program, I am proud to announce that KS and I will be hitting 20 libraries across the State of Hawaii to talk about:

iRead Webcomics: The New Frontier of Comics

We are planning a 45 minute presentation, discussing some of the basics of webcomics, our process, and a short visual demonstration of my tips, tricks, and techniques! The program is free for the public, recommended for ages 12 and up (although all ages are welcome!). Feel free to visit us at any of our stops, bring your questions, and say "hi!"

We will also be bringing copies of our books along with us if you'd like to purchase them directly from us (and save on shipping! :D).

For Oahu folks, grab this PDF flier of all the libraries we will be hitting - dates, times, and locations!
(Note that our presentation at the McCully-Moiliili Branch has been moved back to 4:30pm, but all other dates and times hold steady!)

For neighbor island folks, we will be hitting your shores from June 24-26th!

Big Island - June 24th
* Thelma-Parker (Kamuela) Library: 11:00am
* Kailua-Kona Library: 4:00pm

Kauai - June 25th
* Lihue Library: 12:00pm
* Hanapepe Library: 3:00pm

Maui - June 26th
* Kahului Library: 2:30pm
* Wailuku Library: 6:30pm

We hope to see you there! Feel free to pass this information on to people who you think may be interested in attending!

Also a bit more great news! Our books will soon be available at BestSellers Book Shops (Downtown Honolulu and Waikiki) and Borders Books and Music - Ward!

I'm still hoping to get our books into more shops, so stay tuned!

...and because we've been seriously lacking in the avatar department as of late:

All of our past avatars can also be found at our photobucket gallery!

Have a great weekend everyone!
