  If this comic were taking place in Kaimuki there would be several interesting shops in walking/biking distance. Like Geckos, Toys & Joys, Mecha Hawaii,and that other toy store whose name excapes me right now...

      I think I was thinking of Toyriffic(sp?) or at least the guys behind that store name have/had a store out there just one block over from where Toys & Joys are. Real hole in the wall place where the old Queen theater used to be.

        Ah~ I remember that place! I used to buy all my import games from them - until I figured out they were almost all pirated/grey market. >_>;; They've been gone a long time.

        In fact, the whole area of Kaimuki has has a major change over in tenants over the past handful of years. Toys n' Joys moved up the street into a larger location, Geckos moved to the corner where the new age store used to be. Restaurants even come and go.
