Tsunami heading to Hawaii - Report from the Studio
Some of you might have heard all over the news that a tsunami is headed to Hawaii, generated by the Chile earthquake.
So far, the state is under watch. Evacuations are voluntary and beaches and coastlines are being cleared as a precautionary measure. Boats have moved out of the harbor to avoid being grounded and damage. Water is expected to hit Hilo harbor in about an hour at a height of roughly 6-8 feet - roughly 1-2 ft on Oahu (where we are).
From where we are, we probably won't be immediately affected by the incoming waves, but hopefully damage will be down to a minimum.
Much thanks for keeping us in your thoughts~ ^^ We'll keep you posted should anything happen~

I'm keepin' an eye on the news. I hope the damage is minor! I don't wanna lose power >_<
I'm keeping you guys in my prayers.
D: goodluck
I heard too! I was watching tv the whole day!
yay! tsunami watch is canceled! Hope the weather's good elsewhere on island.
Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers everyone! Even though it wasn't anything major, it's always good to be prepared!
I know! that was ssooooooo close! I thought it was over for Nemu*Nemu for a while!
Everyone must have been spooked, the newscasters were able to get people to watch a rock in Hilo bay poke it's head in and out of the water over and over for 4 hours.
Be carfeul~ D:
