The King: The Pizza connoisseur has chosen! Congratulations m'boy! By the way, I never got your name...
Boy: It's Hardy your majesty!
panel 2: The Boy prepares his pizza for the Princess!
And thus the King had the Boy prepare his pizza recipe- TO CELEBRATE HIS DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY! The Boy's wish had come true! His mother's recipe was loved by the King... and his daughter!
The humble chef's apprentice went on to become the King's personal chef...
He became known throughout the land as
The Chef Boy Hardy!

I went for both. It's both terrible and hysterical!
Wow, that's a long walk for a goofy punchline! The destination is sillier than a sack of hamsters, but I loved the scenery along the way. Well done!
The truth of the matter is there was originally no punchline. He would've become the King's chef and that was the end.
This comic was in the can for about 2 weeks prior to me doing the lettering on it, and I kinda come up with the dialog on the fly sometimes.
I actually lettered the comic and let it sit for a couple of days before finally finalizing it. It just felt so wrong but oh so right at the same time.

Took me a minute to get the joke.
I love it! Ridiculous, but absolutely fantastic.
Took me til about the 3rd comment saying it to get the joke. I kept thinking Hardy Boys for some reason, instead of a certain canned pasta brand.
Actually that was the other pun that I had thought of... "Hardy Boys". LOL!

I was totally anticipating this to be a typical story of the underdog (my favourite, though cliche), but I definitely didn't see that pun coming XD
