[Events 2010] Free workshop at Hawaiian Graphics!
And you thought our summer events were over? :D
We have one last summer event coming up in a couple weeks at Hawaiian Graphics!
Interested in drawing chibi characters?
Scott and I will be heading a workshop, based on the Sakura of America brand & PMBQ Studios' "Manga Start" program and with time permitting, I'll talk more about how to color with my favorite tools - namely colored pencils and Copic markers. :D
Supplies will be generously provided by Hawaiian Graphics, so all you'll need to bring is your creativity!
Space is very limited (especially since the parking lot is so small), so please register!

What age is the workshop directed towards? (I'm kinda curious) :)
Good question - the instruction is geared towards beginner artists who want to learn some of the structural basics of drawing cute and chibi characters. I'll be keeping things simple, but can go more into detail depending how well the group does. :D
Hopefully I'll have some time to demonstrate how I use markers and colored pencils as well. :D They're my favorite mediums to work with!

golly, this kinda stuff makes me wish i lived near more webcomic artists!...and,well,were used to the climate there! with my skin, if i went down to hawaii i'd be sunburned within a day..
