Pronto-Man? Ooh, sounds Italian! Actually, it's Proto, as in Prototype. He's the mysterious early version that Dr. Light built before MegaMan, and is kind of Mega's rival. Hence, perfect for Anpan. Man, I'm a dork. Love the strip, keep 'em comin'!
