Ham
panel 1: Kana gets served her lunch tray as Anise waits in line.
Kana: Don't you think you're taking this a bit too far?
Anise: If STEVE'S a vegan, then I'M a vegan!
Kana: Thank you!
panel 2: Anise is determined to be a vegan!
Anise: Okay. I can do this! All I gotta do is THINK VEGAN!
panel 3: Delicious Cheesy Hamburger Macaroni!
Anise: The cheezy burger macaroni looks good today... Oops. It's got BEEF in it. PASS!
panel 4: Fresh Corn bread!
Anise: Yes! Corn bread! CORN'S not made of animal! Ah wait a minute... isn't BREAD made of MILK and EGGS? CAN'T EAT IT!
panel 5: Hamburgers and french fries are nice and hot...
Anise: Man! Hamburgers look good... but they're made of HAM and ham comes from COW. Can't have french fries without the hamburger... NO CAN DO!
panel 6: Fresh apples!
Anise: APPLES! Just like the company he created... But do I really wanna eat fruit for lunch?! GAH! WHAT WOULD STEVE DO?!
panel 7: Anise puts her tray down next to Kana. She notices that Ani's tray has a hamburger on it.
Kana: Umm... Isn't that a HAMBURGER? What happened to going vegan?
panel 8: Anise takes a bite of her lunch.
Anise: I'm Thinking Different.

^___^" Ani doesn't sound like she knows what she's eating half the time =P I tried to avoid this, but I think Ani officially joined the, "iFail" club....K, that was bad. I'll stop now.
It's not really meat if you don't think it is...I do the same thing with chocolate & junk food, it's really good for you because I want it to be.
Another car in that train of thought is that bread is assumed to have milk and/or eggs. Fundamentally, bread is made of flour, water, salt, and yeast, as in a baguette. Adding milk and/or eggs can be added and makes an enriched dough for things like brioche, but they're not necessary for all breads. Of course, corn bread is a different animal altogether ;)
Some food for thought from a baker
I think she was thinking of cakes, maybe pancakes. Bread is a lot harder to make, with the multiple rise steps.
And ham from cow? Considering how much better beef ribs are than pork ribs, that's probably Olympian Bacon. But, unfortunately, it's far more likely she just doesn't know what she's talking about. -_-;
Props for Ani sticking with the apple instead of fries.
"But they're made of ham and ham comes from cow." Perfect kid science!
"hamburgers are made of ham" ah to be that young again
This comic had me laughing so SO hard. It's beautifully rendered too. :D
Ani is not a vegan anymore. She's eating a hamburger! :-D?
well THAT lasted long!
whoa! it's like you can't eat ANYTHING except fruits and vegetables!
I could NOT do that. No chocolate, bagels, or ice cream for the rest of my life?
Wah!
Vegans can have chocolate, just not certain kinds. Obviously not milk chocolate. Many dark (semisweet and bittersweet) chocolates don't have milk, but the ingredients should be checked as some may contain milk. Unsweetened chocolate doesn't have any neither. Cocoa powder can be used in vegan cooking/baking as well
They can have bagels too, though only at their most basic levels. Bagels are bread products, so their core ingredients are flour, water, salt, and yeast. The addition of animal products is optional and unnecessary.
hahah yes! that is right being vegan/vegetarian sucks ass GO MEAT! :D
