*sigh* i wish i was retired everyday and could eat macaroni cookies until sunset T-T
I wanna retire already and just bake for fun every day. I think there's a continuity issue. You said they were (Parisian) macarons in the last comic's comments, but now they're (coconut) macaroons in the comic text :O
Ah you are correct! Auto correct blunder on my part. The comic has been updated so the pups get the correct Parisian MACARONS :-)
If only life was so easy!
Actually macaroon is the English variant of macaron. The two spellings are commonly used to differentiate between the coconut version and the real macarons. Personally I use the term macaron.
I use "macaron" too. Not sure why I didn't catch it. I read this post several years ago after Audra gushed about macarons we got in SF:

OH!~ was that last time I saw you up here? :D :D :D
LOL! No it was a previous road trip we did driving across the state. We do get macarons every time we're in your area though! XD!
English variant, but not directly interchangeable and refer to two separate baked goods. Not so much a case of toe-may-toe/toe-mah-toe as it is apples and oranges.
As KS's link shows, however, they're both somewhat of a pain to make and are cousins sharing temperamental traits
If I ever become rich enough to retire early, I definitely want to go on adventures and enjoy my life. After all, even when you don't have to work to do it, the body and mind still want to grow
Don't have to be rich or retire early to do that. Everyday can be an adventure!
