It's always a close call for the Yellow Jacket (and friends!)
Ahoy folks! I (Audra) am back in the studio and getting reoriented with the time zone. I had a great time in NYC, despite the crazy heat wave and thunderstorms right before I left. o_o;
Today's action (and explosion) sequences are inspired by Shotaro Ishinomori's Kikaida and Kamen Rider pages. I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to straight inking -- and it really helps to reference the masters. :D
panel 1: Space Cow seals the door of his HQ as he sets the self-destruct sequence in motion.
Yellow Jacket: Like all pigs, Space Cow played dirty. He decided to blow up his headquarters with me in it!
panel 2: He leaves Yellow Jacket and the pups behind to die!
Yellow Jacket: COOOOOOOOOOW!!!!
Space Cow: So long, HENSHIN SLOW-POKES!
panel 3: The island explodes!
SFX: BOOM!
panel 4: Smoke billows out...
Yellow Jacket: But not all was lost in the flames...
panel 5: and a shadowy figure emerges from the clouds...
Yellow Jacket: I've had a lot of close calls in my time...
panel 6: It's the Yellow Jacket and the pups!
Yellow Jacket: This wasn't going to be my last!
panel 7: Yellow Jacket sends the pups off on their way.
Yellow Jacket: We all had homes to return to...
Nemu: WAHOO!!
Yellow Jacket: And I was determined to get there A.S.A.P.!
