Longest flight was from Hawaii to Greensbro, NC was an interesting flight. I don't really remember how the food was but I think it was ok.
In the late 90's I had to go to Virginia for business for the first time. Had two stops before I got there. A total of 12 hours from Hawaii to VA. Not fun. I still find myself wondering if I'm there yet. LOL
Last year I went to Hong Kong and the ride back home consisted of, I think, a 4 hour flight from Hong Kong to Narita, a 7 hour layover at the Tokyo airport, and then a 6 hour or so flight back to Hawaii.
7 hour layover?? At least Narita is a nice airport! XD Haneda... not as nice. ^^;
I had several 16-hour flights from Chicago to Seoul... Waaaaay too long to be on an airplane!
That is epic-ly long. D: Especially with cramped seats. X_X;;;
Luckily I've never been on a super long flight, the longest was a 4 hour flight to California. I was about 8 at the time tho, so it felt like forever!
Totally hear you! My first "long" flight wasn't until I was in 5th grade when my family travelled to California/Vegas. I had been on shorter inter-island flights before -- but those were never longer than 45 minutes. XD;
where's the doggie bed? (of course i didnt have it but they are dogs) where's the mute button on anpan?
I just LOVE your handmade comics. So cute!
Did you use watercolors? Or was it them brush pen?
Thanks! They're watercolors. I ink them with liquitex acrylic ink and a small brush. :D
My longest flight to date was from Hawaii to NY. It was also my first red-eye, coupled with sitting in the middle set of seats (mind you, I'm a window seat person). Not exactly the most fun I've had on a plane, since I had issues falling asleep D: I think my second longest has to be Hawaii to Narita/Hiroshima. 8 hours, then maybe an hour layover, then another few hours (we were too tired to really stay awake at that point). Honestly, I prefer handling the suffering in chunks; I go a bit insane and grumpy if I take it all at once.
I think it also depends on the situation -- I was on a 10 hr flight from Newark to HNL and this toddler was throwing high-pitched screaming tantrums thru-out the entire flight. I was also flying solo which made the whole experience that much more miserable.
But then I flew the 10 hr flight from HNL to JFK with my parents and that wasn't bad at all. It was long, but quiet in my area despite it being a full flight.
Vancouver CAN to Auckland NZ, then Auckland to Christchurch NZ. Roughly 14hrs. Sleep was impossible (22hr time zone difference; they are 5 hours 'behind' my home town, but a day ahead.), but got to watch lots of great movie though!
Great movies certainly do help the time pass by faster! XD One of our flights to California, they were showing one of the Twilight movies. I didn't pay for the headphones -- so watching the movie mute made for interesting made-up conversations. XD
Where are they going?
This is the pups' version of our San Diego Comic Con travel-log. :D No worries -- they've landed and will continue their adventures on the ground this upcoming week. :D
If they are on their own weather as pirates on a ship or flying on a bird even flying on a plane. Nemu and Anpan are off to adventure.
I don't remember the specifics, but I was going to Atlanta for a conference/convention thing thing for college students. It was Honolulu to Denver (like 7-8hrs) plus a 1hr or so layover, and then another 3 or so hours from Denver to Atlanta....and the same route gong back home.
The longest straight flight was from Honolulu to Newark/New York area.
I actually prefer to travel in chunks rather than 1 long flight because it gives you time to walk around, stretch your legs, and see what other airports around the country/world look like......and it's nice because, during layovers, you can find *decent* food XD
