It's been a while since I last posted about my current condition! Thanks for your patience!
The good news is my back pain issues have improved significantly with treatment and physical therapy. It's not 100%, but I am, in the very least, able to sit down for longer periods of time to work.
I'm learning to adjust with daily stretch and excercise routines, my new desk set up, and in a way, re-learning how to draw without hunching forward... which I think is the most difficult to fix, since that's years and years of habit. The Ergotron arm we picked up a few months ago certainly has helped me get back on my feet - so to speak - with drawing and catching up with the business side of things.
So, in short, nemu*nemu - the online comic, is still on hold, but Blue Hawaii comics are still updated every other week and can be found in the blog archives. (BTW, the first 2 years of Blue Hawaii comics are compiled into this mini book~!)
I'm working on a couple other personal projects to help me stretch myself creatively. It hasn't been easy, shifting away from a comic I'd worked on religiously for a handful of years to something completely new... but I'd also like to take what I learn and bring it back to how I approach nemu*nemu.
Meanwhile, I'm gearing up for the autumn & wintertime events. First up: Mini Con 2014
We're celebrating Mini Con's 5th anniversary at the McCully-Moiliili Public Library. While it may be a "mini" con, as we exhibitors are hidden thru-out the library, it's still a fun and free event for all.
