Yes, it is true that Sam (Nemesis' border collie) is based on Roxy, Roxy is Scott's dog.
What you see in the comic is just what happens 100% of the time if there are 2 conditions.
1) It's me at the door.
2) The in-laws are at home.
Take either of the conditions away, she's pretty much a bump on a log. Go figure.
(Lastly, sorry so messy... I was almost not going to do an extra comic today. Was in a bad mood for the past couple days.)
