I always wonder where their parents are.
this has always puzzled me with respect to the manga/anime genre.
a lot of stories with non-adults as the main characters tend to have parents which are featured/mentioned in/for a few episodes/strips, but then never are touched upon again.
i wonder if @kyubikitsy will expand on that...?

In most cases the parents aren't necessary and I really don't think about them. It's only in these ones where the girls are fixing dinner that the thought pops into my head.
