Since we've been doing this comic strip for the last 2 years, my fiancée and I are always on the lookout for good photo reference books. Each year we head on out to the Friends of the Public Library sale at McKinley High School in search for treasures.
I picked up a book on Japan called Japan Islands of the Rising Sun and put into my stack of books. When we got home, we sat on the floor to review our new collection. When I opened up the book, this is what we found inside:

My fiancée, up until a month ago, worked for Senator David Ige. She immediately recognized the certificate but she didn't know who Duke Kawasaki was. Me, being the Guy Kawasaki fan boy and geek, knew immediately it was property of your father and probably shouldn't have been in the book at all.
Also in this book was this article from the Wall Street Journal, dating back to 1975.
So thats the story! Let me know how to get this back to you or your father. I'm sure he's got many of them but I'm sure you'd like to have it back.
