What does "pre-order" mean?

We have two types of pre-orders: Craft item pre-orders and T-shirt pre-orders.

Craft items Given that some of our merchandise is hand-crafted from scratch and it can be difficult to make large quantities at any given time. So instead of stock-piling items, we will create those items as they are ordered. If we have extra in stock, we will ship them out immediately in those orders!

T-shirts: From time to time, we will have t-shirt pre-orders announced on our website. Some may be special, limited, one-time runs like our Henshin Rider Fan Club shirt. Others will be become stocked items in our shop. Refer to each listing for more information.

How long will it take for a pre-order to be filled

Craft items: They can take as short as a day to a couple days, depending on our current workload. We do try for a 1-week turn around time, but we will inform you if an item is taking a little longer than expected to craft.

T-shirts: Shirts are a little more tricky as our time tables depend on our printer's schedules and if they may need to ship items to us. We try for a 1-month turn around time, but please note that the wait can be up to 2-months - especially during the busy seasons.

How come mine doesn't look the same as this person's?

As mentioned, some items are hand-crafted from scratch and this does leave room for difference in the look and feel. We try our best to be as consistent as we can, but please be aware that such things do happen. If you are wary of this, please refrain from purchasing these items as we do not do exchanges or returns.

I live in the US. How much is shipping?

Shipping is listed by each item, per item. We base this price on weight and size of the item, and our shopping cart system just tallies up the full cost, which usually balances out in fees and supplies. If you would like to double-check/combine shipping, please contact us as we can generate an invoice for you. For additional services like priority/expedited/registered or other types of insurance, we can accommodate you.

I live outside the US. How much is shipping?

Our shipping is based on both the weight and size per item. Our shopping cart handles shipping by a per item basis. International shipping is somewhat problematic in some areas and we are not responsible for lost packages. If you would like to insure or register your packages, please contact us prior to making your purchase so we may properly generate an invoice for you with the adjusted shipping costs.

I live on Oahu. Can I pick the stuff up from you?

The long and short of it is no. We are busy people and as much as we'd like to accommodate folks, we do not have time to do deliveries or pick ups. However, some wonderful local shops carry a small selection of our goods! Please do local business a small favor and check them out!

Do you have a retail shop somewhere?

No. We're just web-based for now. We occasionally hit local events and conventions, and a few on the mainland events. Keep posted by our blog and sign up for notifications! (Boxes are on most pages of our site!) You are certain to be first on our list to know!

Do you charge sales tax?

If you live in Hawaii, unfortunately - Yes. However, find us at conventions and we will waive the sales tax!

I don't have a PayPal account. Do you accept other methods of payment?

Well, we prefer PayPal, as it's an easier way to pay and receive payment online. However, PayPal does have an option to purchase goods with a credit card.

If you don't have either a credit card, bank account, or PayPal account, we can accept personal checks and postal/bank money orders. However, please note that we will hold your order until the checks or M.O.s clear, which can take up to a week. Send an e-mail to info...at...nemu-nemu.com for more information!

How long will it take to process and ship my order?

Depending on the availability of the items ordered (in-stock items versus pre-order goods), processing of an order and mailing can be done in as early as a day to about a week. We will notify you of the status of your order, should anything slow down the shipping process. We make runs to the post office 2-3 times a week.

Do you accept exchanges or returns?

No. Unless your case or situation is special, then please contact us via e-mail and we will work with you on the problem~

What brands do you use for your shirts?

We are limited to a few brands that we may use here in Hawaii. Our men's shirts are standard Hanes, Gildan, and Anvil 5.0oz 100% cotton and up. Our women's shirts are a little more tricky.

Pre-2008, we had used "Bella" brand shirts, which are jersey cut crew-neck ladies' shirts. As we had sold out of these shirts, we switched to the "SunGirl" line of shirts that are cut for youths and pre-teens in both jersey cut and baby-doll style tees for their variety of colors. These shirts are cut smaller than our previous women's shirts and thus, we have re-named the sizing convention to best reflect their actual sizing.

(i.e. = "X-small/Youth" = Small, "Small" = Medium, "Medium" = Large, "Large" = X-Large)

Confusing? It is to many - even us, so please feel free to contact us prior to purchasing to double-check your sizing. We apologize for the confusion!

What is the difference between the women's cut and unisex cut?

The Unisex/Mens shirts are cut wider at the shoulder and have a much longer length than our women's shirts. The women's shirts are cut shorter and have some degree of contouring on the side seams. Sleeves are much shorter and the fabric is often thinner.

Do you have shirts larger than XL?

Unfortunately, no - we have a very limited stock of shirts available through our shirt distributor and as the demand is low, we have difficulty making small print runs. However, please send us an e-mail to info...at...nemu-nemu.com if you are interested - if we make a second run of a specific shirt, we might be able to accommodate you!

Also note that our women's shirts only run from small to large.

How are the shirts printed?

They are silk-screened locally!

How should I care for my shirt?

To preserve the design on your shirt, we suggest you wash the shirt inside out in a cool/delicate cycle. I prefer to hang my shirts to dry, but a low tumble dry setting should also be okay.

Augh! I missed out an a shirt design! Will they ever come back in stock?

Depending on the demand, we will make additional runs of out-of-stock designs. However, we cannot promise that all colors will be restocked! Be sure to e-mail us if you are interested in a particular design! We will certainly notify you when they are back in stock!
