Happy Birthday Charles Schultz!
Although the great Mr. Schultz is no longer with us, I doubt anyone will forget him!
Kitsy: I have a small bit of history with Mr. Charles Schultz. I had been the recipient of the 1999 Charles M. Schultz Award for College Cartooning! I had the opportunity to go to Cincinnati, Ohio to attend the awards ceremony, courtesy of the Scripps-Howard Foundation. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to meet the man himself, but I'm always very touched that he had selected my comic out of many! He was and is an inspiration for many - creating the epitome of comics that were appropriate and accepted by all ages. KS and I can only hope to carry on that spirit with nemu*nemu!
KimonoStereo: I remember being really small and going through all of my grandmother's Peanuts paperbacks and reading them one by one - over and over again. If it wasn't for Sparky, I wouldn't be interested in cartooning today.
