Refresh 2013
January has finally come to a close and with it, a month-long hiatus.
Thanks so much for your patience while I took a break from my comicking duties and the kind e-mails, messages, and supportive tweets and quips on twitter and facebook.
Here's a TL:DR of what to expect:

January Recap:
I have to admit, it was a good month to take time away from the comic. We spent some time discussing what we did well, some things that were lacking, and contemplated how we could fix/improve things. I spoke with some great people who offered wonderful bits of advice which I take to heart. Scott and I also spent some weekends hitting local libraries to scour their comic sections for inspiration and in a way, guidance.
With a new and somewhat more focused outlook on things, I have a huge list of stuff I need to tackle. It's a scary prospect to step away from what I've comfortably done for years now, but it's a much more scary thought to let this comic sputter out and die.
So! One step at a time!
Plans for nemu*nemu:
I will be resuming my M-W-F schedule and maintain it as best I can. While the art will always be a priority for me, Scott and I are also working on improving our stories, the humor - the personality if you will - of our comics.
Expect other stories to be told too - not just the usual crew of Anpan, Nemu, Ani and Kana! It's my hope to put forth a variety of great work that we can all connect over!
Unfortunately, future books and any reprints are still on indefinite hold. (Note - I'm down to my last 15-20 copies of Volume 4 and quite low on Volume 2~) Digital editions of 2-4 are still up in the air -- I'm not interested in releasing a b/w PDF (which is how the books were printed) to you when I can produce a much nicer color edition! We're just short on time (and manpower) at the moment. When things start coming together and we actually get to it, you'll be the first to know!
Events 2013:
I'm happy to say that the Toronto Comic Arts Festival has been officially added to my lineup of events this year! Thank you to everyone who purchased my original artwork this month, and supported the sale through tweets and shares! With your help, I raised enough to cover my flight, table, and incidentals. Any additional sales -- keep your eye out for new artwork that will pop in there from time to time -- will help to cover my stay and shipping fees.
I'm happy I'll be able to return~ It's an exciting show and it's one of the few times I get to see you east coast peeps!
Other than TCAF, all other events will be here in Hawaii. Periodically check out the events listing (also found in the right-hand column on the front page) for the most up-to-date information!
