Blue Hawaii, as printed in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser on Sunday, March 2nd!

Technically, March 3rd is hinamatsuri, better known as "Girls Day." Folks don't do much to celebrate anymore, but traditionally, you bring your Japanese dolls out of storage, set them up with offerings of sugar candies, sweet milk mochi, and puffed rice.

As for the haiku -- last month during Scott's birthday, he and a co-worker had a pretty epic haiku battle of wits. (I'm just going to say he won that contest. LOL) Scott came up with this one on the fly, despite being heavily congested this past week. ★
