[LootAnime!] Open the DUEL box!
Hi guys! I'm back with another unboxing of Loot Anime's latest episode - "DUEL" This box arrived unusually late, so in order to get this review out before the cutoff deadline of the next box (MUSIC), it'll be a little hurried on my part. ;;
So!
This time around, I had no idea what the theme was, so opening it was a complete surprise. :D The Loot Anime team came thru - DUEL came packed to the gills with pretty awesome goods!
Here's a look at all the contents of the box:
★ JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Hat ★
Flat-billed, purple, with the cast decorating the underside of the cap - this is probably the stand out item in the box! The embroidery is sharp and the design is really cool - kinda reminescent of A Bathing Ape's style? Anyone know the illustrator? It's going to bother me. ^^;
★ Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Business Card Case★
When I opened this box, I was not expecting to find a mini briefcase! It's so cute! Press the notches on the front (similar to a real briefcase) and the latches flip up and it'll open.
Probably not the best for carrying your business cards around -- unless you're cosplaying one of the characters! - it'll also make an awesome prop for a doll or even one of the pups. :3
★ Ultraman Gaia Tee★
It's hard to believe that Ultraman is celebrating his 50th year! My parents know about Ultraman, I know about Ultraman, and this generation knows about Ultraman. Now, that is longevity!
I really love this shirt design! It feels retro with the flat colors and design, but still totally stylish!
★Yu-Gi-Oh! Crew socks★
Seeing the yellow and black, it's hard -not- to know these are Yu-Gi-Oh - the quintessential dueling game! They feature the Millenium Puzzle design and are sure to stand out. :D Can't wait to add this to my funky socks collection!
★Superfight Anime Deck 2★
To be honest, I was only vaguely aware of what Superfight was - but taking a quick look, it's a great fit for the DUEL box.
In short, take all the tropes you're familiar with in anime, build a fighter with the cards in hand, and let chance guide you as you build the scenario and situation. Then it's up to you to argue who your fighter will come out on top. :D
Simple concept, but it'll certainly get your creative juices flowing!
I think Enchilada has the upper hand this round.. >_>;;
★Duel Phone Charm★
Again, probably the one item I look forward to each month! This month features the action of fighters meeting in a ring, with the infinite time on and their respective power bars.
★DUEL poster and catalog★
This month's poster is by the fantastic Stephanie Kao. Find her work online at Zetallis.com Interestingly enough, she was at Kawaii Kon, seated near other Gaia Online folks - Gneeworks and Milkbun in the Artist Alley!
★ Thoughts ★
While I was originally expecting the MUSIC box (which is actually May's box...) I was pleasantly surprised by this month's DUEL box! LOVE the poster art and the clothes are all super cool and totally wearable~! Do you have any favorites from this collection? Let me know below! :D
