The Yellow Jacket finds there is a price to pay for power.

In other news, a couple of announcements!

First off, I'll be participating in a fund-raiser for the Honolulu Academy of Arts. It's an evening event called ARTafterDark: Tokyo Story running from 6-9pm. I'll be there with other local artists, doing manga/anime themed drawing requests -- for free~ ♥

There is admission, but you will have access to not only the event part, but also all of the galleries and special exhibits! Hope to see you then!

Second! Whenever I do my talks/workshops, I'm often asked if I can recommend equipment for budding artists to use to get their feet wet in digital drawing/painting. I've recently picked myself up a Monoprice drawing tablet and have to say, I'm pretty impressed with my findings! Read more about it at the nemu*blog. It's extremely competitively priced with the popular Wacom Bamboo line and offers more functions and features! :D

SFX: WHUMP!
Yellow Jacket: With my newfound powers, I finally made a place for myself in this family- I no longer had to rely on my sisters to save me!

panel 2: She marvels at the idea that she's finally useful to her sisters.
Yellow Jacket: It was the best feeling in the world- but it was short-lived.

panel 3: Then suddenly, she notices something strange...

Yellow Jacket: Little by little. the sphere was draining my life-force in exchange for amplifying my abilities. I had to find a way to control the sphere... and fast!
