Thanks Troll Dad! You're da Best!

And so... we've officially hit 1000 strips. :3

Actually, we're probably well over that number since I didn't count some of the chapters -- like Kana's Hawaiian Ai and all the East Oahu Sun and Blue Hawaii comics.

Regardless, it's taken me 7 years to get here and it's a huge milestone for me. I'm super thrilled with how much things have changed and grown. I was just commenting to myself on twitter today how I look back one year at my work and inwardly cringe. (I die a little inside, knowing some folks start reading our comics from the very beginning... please don't judge!)

To kick off the next 1000 strips, I'm busy working on the next story. The pups will be back in full force... and it should be quite an interesting adventure!

panel 1: Anise stares at that photo from her younger years while the pups listen to her story.
Anise: So that's my story. The funny thing is, from that day on I swore off bubble gum~ but by dumb-luck or SOMETHING, I kept getting MORE.
Nemu: How so, Ani Mama?

panel 2: Anise finds a pack of gum under her pillow!
Anise: Well… the Tooth Fairy left me a PACK OF GUM.

panel 3: Then she unwraps a gum ball machine!
Anise: And one Christmas, Santa sent me a GUM BALL MACHINE.

panel 4: Anise is presented with a whole box of gum.
Anise: Then I won A WHOLE BOX OF GUM, but I don't recall ever entering any contest!

panel 5: Kana laughs while Anise is confused.
Kana: *giggle* Your Dad is so HILARIOUS!
Anise: Pa? Whadaya mean?

panel 6: Then… it hits her as to what's going on!
Anise: WAIT! Are you saying it was MY DAD ALL THAT TIME?!
Kana: Oops!
